Operation Turkey Bussards Horsa's

Can any body tell me how many Airspeed Horsa’s made it to Noth Africa and what happend to them.

Off the top of my head the plan was to take 40 Horsas, 27 made it of the 31 that actually left England. 2 were ditched in the sea, 1 was never heard of again.

Of those that landed in Sale, they were towed onwards to Tunisia to take part in the assault on Sicily. They all made it bar one glider/tug combination which was forced to put down 150 miles from Algiers.
