82 Sqn ORB

Hi Gents,

I am seeking if possible information for 20 Aug 1941 with regards to a Blenheim MkIV which crashed on this date with the loss of one of the crew Sgt. Laurie E Cash (Obs),

The aircraft was returning from a raid in the Freisian Islands area & collided with a ships mast, all maps/charts were sucked out of the cockpit & the crew were lost, they decided to fly west & hope to find land…..they set down in a field near RAF Acklington.

They landed in a field next to a small village….I am looking for the village.
