The next Whitwick Aeromart is this coming Saturday, 17th October 2009. It kicks off at 8.45am (£5) for the ‘preview’ with general admission from 10am (£2.50). The event closes at 2pm. See the advert in the current edition of ‘Flypast’ (November 2009).
There is always a good range of flying clothing and equipment, uniforms and badges, paperwork, aircraft parts, prints, kits, general militaria and wartime ‘Home Front kit. There are long established dealers attending as well as new faces and ‘one-off’ traders selling collections/surplus items etc. Some dealers have attended every one of the 26 previous events so we must be doing something right!
Buyers are known to be coming from The Netherlands, Switzerland and the USA this time.
Escape E(vil)bay for the day and see the gear in the ‘flesh’. Its far easier to detect those fakes and repros and you can even haggle on the price or part exchange your surplus kit.
You know it makes sense! If you’ve always thought about coming but never made it please make the effort – it could be your last chance.
