Hi,
just picked up a signed framed print by Arthur Gibson (local charity shop £3.50) that shows two spitfires, one breaking left, one breaking right. The one at the rear has the codes CR @ S (late mark spit, griffon?), one at the front has AC @ S (earlier mh434 vintage ish). The one in front probably owned by Clive Du Cross (hence codes) and probably still flown in those codes. Most interesting features of the aircraft is they are painted in very similar colours and have what appear to be blue spinners. Perhaps owned by same person or for some film event etc. I can’t see the serials but could probably match suggestions to what I can see, just partial numbers.
Anyone know which aircraft these two are.
Any onformation on Arthur Gibson and are his photo’s much sought after?
Now in my hallway, not selling 🙂
Cheers,
H.
