Another E-bay mistake

Someone just bid £10.75 for a fragment of a parachute mine which was oen as a piece of V-1.

The site, well known in these parts, was listed as that of a V-1 for a long time until someone in 2007 found it wasn’t, the V-1 was a few hundred metres away and the big patch of peat with little pieces of aluminium was a Luftmine B.

I did e-mail the seller and he said that when he bought the item he was told where it came from and did a bit of looking round and sure enough found a V-1 had landed there, problem being eveyone had forgotten about the parachute mine.
