A Perfect Hero

This being September the 15th and all, I feel I should have watched something to do with the Battle of Britain. I had planned to watch Angels one-five, but that didn’t happen.

However, I have recently managed to pick up the DVD of A Perfect Hero, and it arrived today – after so many years, I FINALLY get to watch it!

The opening dogfight of the first episode is, despite the low budget (compared to the likes of Battle of Britain/Pearl Harbor), startlingly good. Spitfires MH434, ML417 and MT719 appear along with the OFMC Buchon, G-BOML. I’m guessing that some of this footage was shot from the ground, although there are some interesting angles from on-board cameras (one in the Spitfire’s cockpit, the other mounted on the Buchon’s wing).

So far, so good. I’ll post a review of the series as I watch each episode…
