“At 11.00 yesterday a small ceremony by local RAFA/British Legion was held at the roadside memorial to Pilot Officer Clarke, 504 Squadron, lost on 11 September 1940. I was pleased to attend to represent the family and would like to use this opportunity, on behalf of the family, to thank Lewis Deal from Medway for organising the Spitfire fly-past and also to thank Peter Monk for his splendid performance!
