Once again I have been blessed with access to the photo album of the father of a colleague, this album contains a few photos of what I assume are Fairey Barracudas ? Could someone please confirm/deny ? my recognition skills from this photo ?

I have the original artwork that was done for the Frog Model kit box lid of the Barracuda landing 🙂

PM461 – Spitfire PRXI (cancelled).
Drat, thanks.
PM— Barracudas are in the 682 to 818 bracket and the P—- start 9639.

Possibly PM746 then? The PM and 46 bits I’m almost certain of!

Just a pile of elevators for now, something for folk to work on when there’s a lull(!) in the big blue boat.

We’ve got a few bits of one in our workshop…
Heard you had some bits, I believe your going to work some magic on them, how much of it have you got?
And incidentally nearly all the aircraft pictured on this thread have ASV fitted, see the arials near the wing tip, I bet that didnt help the performance, looks a draggy bit of kit.

It’s odd how things look so different to different people Pagen – to my eye it looks like spare parts from half a dozen designs !
Great pictures though, there must be countless others in peoples draws and attics still to come.
I never found the ‘Cuda ugly or a pile of spare parts, or beautiful, certainly a fascinating design and would love to have one in my hangar. 😉

I would be of the opinion the aircraft in the first photo is PM461, but I have no idea if that’s a Barracuda serial! Anyone?
