Model Lancaster part-works publisher doubles number of airworthy Lancasters.

Not sure how many of your handed over 50p for the first issue of the wallet busting £600 plus 1/32nd scale model Avro Lancaster, but did anyone notice the mistake in the accompanying magazine (back page)…

“[Lincolnshire] is home to PA474, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s flying Lancaster (one of only FOUR still flying in the world).”

Oops! Anyone found any other errors?

I still think it would have been much better if they produced a larger scale cockpit section – maybe two feet in length, and I honestly think they still can. The model was clearly designed in CAD with the various wooden parts cut by laser. There is nothing to stop them from producing another kit – albeit one with fewer parts and fewer errors.

Oh, another error – according to one of the bits of paper that comes with the first issue is a claim that the bombs are in plastic. In fact they are produced in Metal. Get it right…

At £4.99 per week over two years I do hope there aren’t that many mistakes!
