Attended this on Saturday – very good indeed – interesting collection of aircraft – was able to sit in the cockpits of Meteor, Buccaneer, Sea Prince, Shackleton and Lightening and the Sea Vixen and a second Sea Prince ran up their engines. Museum people there very friendly indeed and exceedingly helpful and knowledgeable. – Had a great day out!
The Sea Vixen was very impressive but I heard they lost the oil pressure on one of the engines leading to a premature stoppage of the action.
The port engine on the Sea Prince was being worked on all day as it was causing some trouble – once it did get going it produced some impressive flames! – see link to video below.
