Brockworth Airfield / Gloster Aircraft Company

Can anyone explain this photo?

It is an aerial photo of Brockworth, above the site of the airfield and Gloster Aircraft company (now a business park).

The picture was taken between 1945-1950 but there appears to be no sign of the airfield!

Matching the picture with a current view from google earth verifies it is the correct place.
