St Kilda crash sites

Hello,

Am going to be visiting the Hebridean islands of St Kilda next week, and am wondering about the Sunderland and Beaufighter (?) crash sites on the isle of Hirta. The isle of Soay apparently has a Wellington crash site, but from what I can research at the moment it impacted the cliffs. Soay isn’t very accessable, so I am not going to be able to visit…

I have the approximate locations of the other sites, but does anybody have any OS map references, and any information if there is anything left to see?

I was wanting to take photos on a rare opportunity just to get to the island, but also depends if I mange to get away from or manage to drag ‘her who must be obeyed’!

– since found out that the Beaufighter wreckage is assumed to have fallen off cliffs from the crash site at Conachair. Not much to see for that one..
