Can anyone help me out with some decent pictures of a Whirlwind cockpit, NOT the Hellicopter. These pics will not be used online just as reference for a project
Thanks 🙂

I have the Pilot’s Notes for the Whirlwind Mk.1, which includes labelled pictures of the cockpits – front, port and starboard views, and for both layouts (it changed after P.6983). If you want, I can e-mail you scans of the pictures and the key to the labelling.

sorry no old chap….would like to be but girlfriend wants me to do some boring house guff!!! yawn! Let me know if you want to pursue Whirly stuff….it would be a golden opportunity to create a syndicate of projects so that common expensive items can be made in bulk to drive prices down.
For my part, I wish to create a cut through cockpit taking in the windscreen, panel, stick down to pedals (a bit like my F46 cockpit). I have a complete original windscreen unit. As there are other threads on this, I have probably bored you all about it enuff!! The shot of my stuff is on another thread

Although no pics of the cockpit in it, there is a great book on the Whirlwind called ” Whirlwind The Westland Whirlwind Fighter” by Victor Bingham ISBN 1 85310 004 8

Mark
