Aircraft Gun Sight

I was wondering if any members could tell me what the item shown below is. I think it is part of a gun sight, but I am unsure of the date or type. Any help would be great.

Looks like the front plate from a Mk4 or Mk5 1950’s era Gyro Gunsight (GGS). Missing the lamp cover flap and the rubber headpad/crashpad.

Long time since I took a Mk4/Mk5 apart, but it certainly looks correct for that type.
