After six years of rebuilding, we thought we should proof load the Kite wings to 4G. We loaded the wing up with 320 kg.
Hope to start covering this week.

Started to build wing and parts of tailplane for the original Kite 1 BGA310. But will now be BGA327.

Looking great. Presumably most of the time these days is taken up putting all the small fiddly things back in before recovering the aircraft? Looking forward to see it fly!

We took the Kite back up to Sutton Bank for its 80th birthday a few weeks ago.

Eric

I don’t think it has been in one piece since the late 1960’s.

Brilliant. The first time in how many years since the prototype was available for public viewing in one piece?

Great work Dave. You’ll be needing some lightweight pilots next! That leaves me out of it!
