0630hrs start…. 21.02 return – typical Old Warden!

‘Saw’ the event framed by the doors of hangar four – in between fire alarms! Lots of gossip…. lots of scandal…. (hmm… I wonder if Legends is gonna be as good as advertised?)

Lots of old faces… a number of new ones and some nice conversations…. remarkably, everything there seems to have had the right paperwork… AND the right paperwork trail…. no-one was even the slightest bit disappointed that that some aircraft didn’t fly! No queues to get in…. no queues to get out… and before that, no-one trying to hurry you off the field….

Time flies at Old Warden!

A great day (if a tad expensive!) and it was nice to meet Graham-but i appear to have lost the ability to frame photographs 🙁

Good day, lots of lovely aeroplane’s. Spoke to Graham for the first time in years. Dad was a bit disapointed as they didn’t fly the glider he helped to restore, But it was a bit to windy. My son took just over 900 photo’s.

He moved the ‘Chang’ around very nicely indeed, and can consider it a job well done.

Having sat though a practice display yesterday, I can observe that what looks very elegant and flowing from the ground involves quite considerable G, and is actually pretty hard work.

He is , as they say ”well up for it” and has eaten nothing but raw beef and Red Bull since Wednesday!

Well, on that kind of diet, I would not be surprised if there was a brown underwear accident on the day:D:D

So… another traditional forum meeting coming up then.

” You’ll recognise me. I’ll be the guy with a camera, wandering round gawping at planes. We’ll meet near one of the old aeroplanes between 12.00 and 17.00”

Anyway, best wishes to Didier from White Waltham, who will be displaying the Nanchang, his first-ever public display. He is , as they say ”well up for it” and has eaten nothing but raw beef and Red Bull since Wednesday!

Since it was scrapped in ’44 I’d be quite surprised.

I don’t know what it is, therefore it’s a little unlikely that I’d know that!

That’s not much of a problem, Graham-i just have to work out what the Snargasher is!

Maybe its a sort of challenge, If we find it we win!

Why not meet up somewhere that won’t move subject to weather etc? The beer hut fits the bill.

I’m 17:(;)

Hows about by the fence near it then, If it’s where I think it’s going to be, up by the gate.

Cheers, Huw:)

I’ll be there in one of the hangars in my usual spot trying to earn a crust! Stop by and either say hi or punch me in the mouth, depending on if I have annoyed anyone!
