AM274 in Washington should be the next to grace the sky-John Norman is doing a fantastic job, and the website is regularly updated

So I guess with luck, and a whole lot of money we may see even more Hurricane’s built 😎
Can anyone spare a Hurricane for Oz! ?

I think they have to remake a lot of them anyway, so shouldn’t cause any problems seafuryfan. Just a case of people willing to part with the cash 🙂
I suppose a Hurricane repro will be out due to the cost of making all those complicated tubes and their joints, amoung others? Or could HRL do it, given the money? Hmmmm…What a thought!

Get the six U.K examples together in a row at Legends and forget about the other stuff!!
Oh if only….
I’ve been waiting for a mass Hurri scramble and tailchase/formation etc for years, but with 2 x operated by BBMF and the a seemingly endless fasication for mass Spitfire or P-51 elements instead  I can’t see it ever happening.
Have to feel for the LSFM and the bad luck they’ve had since getting their Hurricane airborne. I guess that’s now another long term job after the accident and then the Hurricane induced hanger flood last year.

😮 it’s amazing just how many there is:eek:
With 12 flying the Hurricane is still a rare bird (although not so rare now compared with 40 years ago) – just depends on whether you are a ‘glass half full’ or ‘glass half empty’ person!
and look’s like a few more to come 😎
In the shortish term there are really only two more to come (to flying status) – from the Hurricane Masters, HRL.

Currently airworthy in the UK are the following:
Hurricane I, G-HUPW, Peter Vacher
Sea Hurricane Ib, G-BKTH, Shuttleworth Collection
Hurricane IIb, G-HHII, Hangar 11
Hurricane II, LF363, BBMF
Hurricane II, PZ865, BBMF
Hurricane XII, G-HURI, Historic Aircraft Collection
And about 5 are currently under restoration.
Can’t give as much info about overseas machines, although TFC’s Mk.IV left for the Vinmtage Wings of Canada collection in 2006 in it’s desert scheme.
