Battle of Britain Book required

A friend of mine recently asked me if I knew of any book on Aviation archaeology for someone as a present for Father’s Day. Well, I’d been to a wonderful second-hand bookshop in Redruth only days before and bought a copy of PSL’s ‘Epics of Aviation Archaeology‘ and so went home slowly (we were in the pub!) to retrieve the said publication, thinking it was the same book that was required.

Tonight, had the answer that it wasn’t, and from what I can gather the book required (lent out and not returned – how many times has this happened to us?), is a definitive book on the losses during the Battle of Britain, naming aircraft, crews and places of eventual demise. All I could think of was the ‘After the Battle’ series, but is there such a thing out there? It may be that the book is not in print anymore, if it indeed exists?

I’m afraid I know nothing more than this.

Surely it must be “THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN THEN AND NOW” Mk V – Edited by Winston G. Ramsey?
