An Auster working for a living

Local NZ documentry program ‘Country Calender’ has just shown an episode that covers cattle mustering in a back-country station.
Included in this episode is good coverage of the use of an Auster as a spotter plane to assist in the muster.
The aircraft involved is Taylorcraft Auster 5 ZK-AVU ex MT188 and G-AIKA which became a Lycoming engine J-1Y in 1967.
The whole documentary is worth watching, but most of the Auster coverage is in chapter 2. There is an advert at the start of each chapter, you’ll need to endure that first!

Tracked it down. It’s the relevant Auster section from the program.

Or go to Youtube and search for Auster at Work.

So it would seem.Unfortunate.

However, I hear that someone has uploaded at least the relevant part to Youtube. If/when I find that, I will post the link.

It seems only NZ viewers can view the video. Strange and a pity…….
