'The Prisoner' Meteor T7

Was watching the superb series ‘The Prisoner’ earlier today and in the episode ‘Many Happy Returns’, the main character ends up flying in a Gloster Meteor T7 – does anyone know the serial (I didn’t notice) and the current status of this aircraft? Interestingly, it had an F8 type tail, whereas I thought all T7’s had the F1/3/4 type tail, with the rounded underneath

Meteor mystery

It sounds like one of the Martin-Baker T.Mk 7.5’s (that should read seven and a half but it didn’t look right typed the usual way!).

Their serials were WA634 and WA638.

There were a few T7s with the F8 tail (Unofficially called T7 1/2)

Both Martin-Baker’s aircraft have them – beleive the Prisoner aircraft is one of them (Shot at Chalgrove) – note that inspite of having the ‘framed’ canopy, both cockpits appear to have ejection seats fitted – I beleive MB used ain interchangeable canopy
