The other IAT that did not happen

Somewhere in the mid 1990s the (R)IAT arranged a deal with the KLu where they would have the use of Deelen Air Base for the first ever IAT (and thus the largest military air show) on mainland Europe. I know the deal eventually fell through at the last moment because of environmental pressure groups, but I cannot find any reference on the web (even Google has it’s limits, I guess).

Does anyone remember? When was this show to happen? What was the planned list of visitors (if any)? Do you have first, or even second hand knowledge of this event? Do you remember the exact reason why the show was cancelled?
