What is the minimum runway length recommended for a B-29?
(for takeoff and landing)
I am not looking for the “required” minimum length (which is based on the load, wind speed, wind direction, and other factors).
I want to know what the recommended runway length is according to some official B-29 manual and, if possible, the name of that manual… and where I can get my hands on a copy.

As with any aircraft, that all depends on mass and conditions

I was at an airshow where Fifi was to land with a 3000′ runway. The commentator said that the CAF wanted a minimum of 3600′, but agreed to do it and heat up the brakes.
I can assume that the B-29 pilot’s manual would have the minimums on runway length and those manuals are easily available in reprint.
