Here is a whole channel (200 + videos) of historic aircraft to keep you happy.

I don’t think people have got used to it yet, as more vids have been posted since but individually, you may have to move them into this thread, like we do at AIX!;)
sorry mate, was getting wrong end of stick?
By: pagen01 - 3rd June 2009 at 15:28
don’t turn this into AIX, Baz
Whoa! steady on!
No suggestion of making one forum like any other forum, just talking about the mechanics of moving posts.
My own view is that vid links should appear in a dedicated thread where members can click on and find stuff, both the low-flying aircraft, and Ebay threads are run this way and are amongst the most popular threads on the whole forum.
Other people will have different views, whe’re all members – what the hey.
If a vid is beeing posted as part of a query, then yes obviously best post it seperately with the question.

If someone posts a video that requires information such as the Canberra one then that is fine and it can stay as a seperate thread. For all others such as the Victor one (bad example I know) they can go into the new thread. The whole point of the Theatre thread is to combine the videos into one place. You can discuss the videos it is not a case of only post videos and no comments? I hope this helps?
thats fine:)

youtube links
I hope your not going to over moderate youtube links, some are genuine queries ( canberra down(!)under ) if you stuck this on your ebay style thread it would not get the hits, it would not get the answers. Not all will benefit. I disagree if that is yours and pagens idea. Let it run as a 2 tier system,
a. Hey look at this! (your post it here thread)
b. What is this? (on the forum)
don’t turn this into AIX

Ah, I see what you mean now, does it matter that much, as any new postings will still see your message?
By: Peter - 3rd June 2009 at 15:08
same issue.. cant move older posts that predate the original post on that thread other wise they push the oroiginal message down the list..
By: pagen01 - 3rd June 2009 at 15:07

Strange, when you move posts into a new thread they should appear in the order that they were originally posted in.
Try moving this one into the new thread, http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=91380
By: Peter - 3rd June 2009 at 14:50
thanks Pagen I tried that last night but it forced the original post down the list which was strange?

Baz, I have absolutely nothing against A youtube thread for people too lazy not to go straight to youtube and type in whatever they want to watch, but we are have lots of ‘have you seen this incredible footage of a PA-28 taking off’ type threads everywhere.
All the Ebay stuff is on one popular thread, luckily Peter has taken the lead and created a thread to hang this stuff on, thus saving a suicide down here:D
