de Havilland Dragon in the North East today

I heard an unusual aircraft sound this afternoon, so stuck my head out of the workshop to see a DH Dragon flying overhead from Chester-le-street, over Washington way and heading North.

Since it’s a rare sight in these parts, anyone know who’s it is and where it was going?

Freeson’s first Dragon was G-ACIT ex Southend museum and now at Wroughton. Very sad that she is no longer flying as G-ACIT pioneered many of the Scottish Islands Air Services and it would have been great if she could have returned for the anniversary.

from the BBC report “Fresson’s original aircraft – now 80 years old – is expected to be put on display at Inverness Airport, along with the Dragon biplane.”

Which one is that then??
