I found this image in my 1993 Mildenhall air fete programme recently, so most likely crown copyright.
A great photo, showing a PR9, PR7 (?) and Tornado GR1A.
I know 13 Sqn disbanded as a Canberra unit around 1981 and did not stand up again until 1990 with the Tornado, so clearly these Canberra’s must be on the strength of 100 & 39 sqn’s and have assumed 13 sqn badges just for this image?
If anyone can add to this, I would be interested to know more, especially if there are any more pics out there.

My guess is that the Canberras were marked up especially for 13 sqn reforming in 1990, and that a special photo flight was organised.
Don’t they look different with that red on the tails.

Both canberras had served with 13 sqn during their life, the PR7 was on the strength of 1 PRU in 1992 and was with 100 sqn in 91. So my guess would be 92 when the piccy was taken.

well It Looks like pre 80’sh too me.I have some 1970’s mags pics with 1968 /69/ 72 planes in them.

13 only stood up with Tornado’s in 1990 so it can’t before that date. I think this would have been taken around that time.
