A few years ago I enquired on this forum about the last surviving Andovers of The Queen’s Flight. At the time it was thought that only XS789 (9Q-CLL) and XS793 (3C-KKP) survive.
It now appears (after a quick internet search) that XS793 (3C-KKP) was scrapped in Gabon. Check out: http://yakfreak.aviation.at/vap/prolist.php?airport=&suche=3C-KKP&anzahlbilder=10
If this can be confirmed it means that only XS789 9Q-CLL survives, and it located in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Considering the importance of this, the sole surviving Queen’s Flight Andover, me thinks that it should be brought back to the UK. Agreed?
But first, can anyone confirm that XS793 (3C-KKP) was scrapped?
