Friends of mine in north west German have just finished restoring an ex-RAF Tiger Moth tail number T5823 / Serial No. 83458 – and made a beautiful job of it!
It was built in 1940 and served with the following units:
December 1940 – June 1947 11 EFTS
June 1947 – March 1949 11 RFS
September 1949 – July 1950 Cranwell
July 1950 – December 1953 North Weald
We would love to hear from anyone who can contribute something to its history, the sorts of tasks it performed etc. Either personally or through log books which have remained in the family.
