I’m not content with the effect on the props a’la digital. Think i’ll take the faithful film camera to the August 1st event.

N473DC Drag Em Oot is usually at Humberside for the Summer and goes into hangarage for winter maintenance.

Drag Em Oot is set to be with us at EK until it leaves to display at Normandy in early June. It is not seen very often on the display circuit but it is the finest example of a C-47 that i’ve ever seen and it has been a pleasure to provide a roof over its head for the winter.[/QUOTE]
Where is it usually based? Who owns her?

Are yes, that distinctive 7am Saturday morning hair cut “Yank” Style, unmistakable.

sadsack… A ‘yank’?! Did someone steel her whilst we weren’t looking?

Nice reminder on how nice the looking the DC-3/C-47 is.
We take them for granted, I’m afraid.

Hi Guys, glad you enjoyed the event.
We had some quality displays from some of thr real gentlement of the display world.
Maurice Hammond showed his newest Mustang; Marinell and John Dodd flew Paddy Greens C-47 Drag Em Oot. Together they put on a cracking show for us at EK for an event that will hopefully be repeated next year.

I saw Marinell at RAF Upwood last year she did a great display:cool:
I thought Janie displayed there on the Saturday and Big Beautiful Doll on the Sunday last year.

It is indeed Marinell, I’ll post some pictures this evening, we had a great day out, taking 3 of the fleet (Mustang, Harvard and Stearman) up for the event, it was mighty cold though.
Who was flying her? A yank climbed out of the cockpit.
And yes it was freezing – I walked 6 miles each way, and it was well worth it.
