I’ve been looking through my Air Cadet Squadron archives and came across these pics. They were taken at Middle Wallop and dated 26 June 1953. Any one know what aircraft this is? From my research so far it seems to be none of the aircraft based there at the time.
Many thanks in advance

Many thanks for the replies. I had a feeling it could be a Valetta, just needed confirming.
Pagen01, sadly it isnt me by the ladder, I wasn’t around then. It is part of a project on our squadron, charting the history of our unit and these are some of the old photos we have found. From what I have been able to find out it was from a summer camp at RAF Middle Wallop in June 1953

Definately Valetta, nice evocative shots, is that you standing by the ladder Topgun?
BTW Vickers Valetta only has one ‘L’ unlike the harbour of Valletta in Malta, not sure on reason other than Vickers spelling mistake?

It looks like a Valetta to me, too. 🙂

I’d say Vickers Valletta from that angle – can’t be 100% but that would be my thought.
