I understand some years ago the oldest BN Islander in existance was found derelict in the Carribean and was going to be restored back into the air.
I have not heard anything for some time does anyone know its progress?

Even if she doesn’t fly again let’s hope she is preserved. The Islander may not be a glamorous type but it was a good and successful design and I think it is appropriate that the earliest survivor gets a better fate than a visit from the scrapman.

Alas no real progress on the restoration of G-AVCN, after some intial work the project stalled due to funding issues. ‘VCN currently in external storage at Bembridge, pending a decision on her future.
Chumpy.
