One For Radar Archive?

I am looking for details on the Luftwaffe fighter Command & Control organisation over Northern France (including radar/early warning) during 1941 but am struggling to come up with anything much.

Can anyone point me towards any sources?

Radar Archive, perhaps you know?

Ian

Thank you for this.

As far as I can see, the maps in Most Secret War are fairly general and mostly related to Knickebein or the Kammhuber Line.

My interest is not so much in the locations of the actual stations but rather the radar-based Luftwaffe Command & Control system in 1941. Equally, I am not deeply interested in the technical aspects of the radars used but if any of the RAE reports give any insight into how the overall system operated then that would be helpful. I suppose, really, I am trying to find out how the system was organised, how the plots were recorded and tracked and how the “early-warning” system was then fed into the Luftwaffe fighter force on the Channel coast.

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated, Ian.

What sort of information are you looking for? I don’t have details of the location of many stations, but there are maps of the warning and control radar sites given in Most Secret War by RV Jones. If you want technical information on the performance of the radars etc, I have some RAE reports which give this information. If netierh of these, let me know and I’ll see what I can do.
