The link to historic aviation – they seem to be a part of the Peter Jackson stable of companies – and have close links to the firm responsible for the building of the FE2b

For those who haven’t clicked my link above, here is the photos I took at Omaka on the weekend:
This is an upcoming release, a Gotha bomber, which I reckon looks stunning:

Here are some of the soldier sets, an excellent scenario showing Allied (Kiwi perhaps) tunnellers who have heard the sound of German tunnellers coming the other way – a situation which apparently did occur on occasions and actual fire fights took place underground when the two tunnels met!
The Bristol Fighter

The SE-5a

The RE-8 “Harry Tate”

The Sopwith Pup

An example of the high quality of the instructions – everything we’ve always wanted to see in model kitset instructions – clear construction diagrams, in full colour, with other info and also very good reference photos of the aircraft…. these are like books rather than pamphlets too.

The LVG is really nice!

And the gentlemen themselves, Dave and Richard, rightly proud of their products,

These models were available for viewing at the Classic Fighters Airshow at Omaka (Blenheim) over the Easter weekend. I was advised by one of the staff that the company is indeed backed by Peter Jackson hence the similarity in name to the film production company. A gap in the modelling market was identified for this scale and type of aircraft which is now being filled. Having viewed the kits themselves the detail is outstanding and the instructions are in extremely detailed booklet form. For any serious modeller of this scale then these WW1 aircraft models will be hard to go past for quality and detail.

The instructions for building the models are wonderfully done. I’ve never seen instructions that actually have photographs of aircraft as reference alongside the diagrams showing the model construction.
