Red Dakota?

At about 0955 GMT on25 March, I saw an all-over red aircraft heading over Teesside on a N-E heading out to sea. It returned about 20 minutes later on an approximate heading for Durham Tees Valley airport. It was too far away for easy recognition (I didn’t have binoculars with me at the time), but it had the appearance and sound of a Dakota.
Can anyone shed some light on this aircraft?

Good to see and hear a British registered Dakota still flying around the English country side.
Long may this continue.

I was working in Catterick all last week and had the delight of hearing / seeing this flying every day.

Red Dakota G-ANAF is still operating over the north-east as I saw it again this afternoon (31st). It was flying a racetrack pattern to the west of Richmond at about 8-9,000 ft. Does anyone know what it is doing?

Many thanks for the info. I also saw this aircraft from a distance on the 25th and wondered which one it was.

It was probably operating in the same area the previous day. On this occasion I heard it but didn’t manage to see it.

If it had a large bulge under cockpit possibly from Air Atlantic.
