Matt,
Blue Shadow was the SLAR fitted to a number of B.2 & B.6. Linear antenna just aft of navigator’s compartment. You can see the remains of the installation in your pics. Movement cards of such Canberras were often annotated “Blue Shadow”

Fate off another Canberra?
While at St Athan in 1958 a Canberra was brought into the training hangar and was used mainly by the armourers.I think it was a B2 and had been used in the suez campaign.one feature was a large pale blue speedbird type logo on the fin.Anyone of you Canberra experts know which one this might have been?

Hello all, thankyou for all your kind words, here is a little update and pics as promised. Me and my friend Sean first set about saving WJ775 about 6 months ago…..not long after getting WH887 and after alot of phone calls and emails to the M.O.D we finally picked her up from Bodney yesterday [we had cut her away from what was left of her 2 weeks before]. We then made the journey to RAF Upwood where she will be kept and restoration will begin. As you can see from the photos she is in a bit of a mess but we both thought she was well worth saving:rolleyes:
Here she is back at Upwood at 8.45pm
Basking in the sun today
Inside…..wow just look at the wiring:eek:

Look what we found stowed in the oxygen bottle area:eek::confused:
If any one has any pictures of her atall that would be great……….i know there isnt that many about….being 51 squadron;)
All the best Matt
