Hi all, all this has brought back alot of memories, here goes;)
All these are aircraft that were flown in, I havent recorded all the ‘roaded’ in aircraft, maybe Rich Max, Plazz and others can fill those gaps
Now I wont bore you all with the 728 delivery shots again as they are over on the Lightnings thread,
But just to start
One of the first if not the first privatley owned super sonic jet in June 1988 😉

We were pretty much on our own (apart from Nev’s collection) for the next 5 years, then a mad Jan in 1993 happened
Jan 23rd 1993
Enjoy [;)]
Right, after a short delivery flight 904 arrived over head Brunty, with the F3 along side, they ‘broke’ directly over the airfield and 904 did a few passes to burn off fuel.

And then that was it, finally about to land for the last time

Round she comes to the tower pan

Shut down…. tick tick tick tick…..

A small crowd gather in the cold Jan air

And we were a ‘two Lightning group’ [;)]

Next instalment is one you will all know

As per Peters suggestion all Brunty Meteor talk now under its own thread.

Especially as youre next door to us
will have to discuss a few common parts i noticed on the
airworthy restoration that the ignitor boxes seem to be the same as
vixen, we’ve got quite a few working ones
when do you plan to re-assemble and get on her feet again
By: Peter - 25th February 2009 at 23:04
You could always create a new Meteor restoration thread like the sea vixen guys did?

XH668,
Re “Great stuff! Cant wait to see it and martin”.
Be warned the Meteor is both better looking and in better condition than Martin, but I didn’t say that!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also be carfull what you say to Martin, his new lady wife is a nurse, and tells me she can be very handy with a needle if she so feels the urge. It’s to late for me though, I am already onher “hit list”!!!!!!!!!!
hahah 😀
I dont want to hijack a thread thats not about this Meteor so if anyone wants to see more pics from todays move let me know and I will start a seperate thread up.
pleasee 🙂

Well youve all been talking about it and upto now Ive sat on the sidelines watching Ritch enjoy winding you all up.
I can now confirm that this afternoon Meteor T7 WL405 arrived safely at Brunty so can now legitimately be added to the Brunty arrivals thread.
Heres a pic anyway. Rear fuselage section hadnt been unloaded when this picture was taken.
I dont want to hijack a thread thats not about this Meteor so if anyone wants to see more pics from todays move let me know and I will start a seperate thread up.
Many thanks to my mate Simon for sorting mates rates Haulage out. Ritch & Max for coming and lending a hand today, all the other guys at Brunty who helped unload her.
Also a big thank you to Dave Walton for allowing me to bring the Meteor to Brunty.

OK, time to tell, it’s Gloster Meteor T7, WL405. My mate Martin’s new toy. All being well, she will be installed at her new home in the early afternoon on Wednesday.
Not only a new airframe at the Cold War Jets Collection, but also a new owner to the site, we look forward to sharing many a cup of tea and a good few biscuits with you in the future Martin, and maybe even doing a bit of work on the aircraft!!
Welcome aboard and according to sagindragin’s post, you are now officialy a “Missfit”!! now what will nursey say!!!!!!!!!!
