I remember the Range ATO at Pembrey in the 80s telling me about a Wellington Bomber that had made a wheels up landing in the marshes on the approach to the ranges. It was left there as it was deemed unsalvageble in the 1940s. Ity just sank into the marshes and has never been recovered/excavated. Does ANYONE know of this and which ac might this have been or was the ATCO/Range Control officer at Pembrey just shooting the s**t ??:confused::confused:.
