Help – Avro 707 WD280

I am currently researching the Avro 707 for a model making project and am looking for some colour scheme information.

Avro 707A WD280 first flew from Warton on 14th June 1951 and carried an overall red finish, in March 1955 it had a new ‘kinked’ wing fitted (at Bracebridge Heath and flown from RAF Waddington ?) and on the 6th March 1956 the aircraft was flown to Renfrew, loaded on an aircraft carrier and delivered to Australia. WD280 continued flying untill retired and sold in 1964. She is currently on display at the Point Cook Museum.

What I would like to have confirmed is that after fitting of the new wing in 1955 WD280 was repainted red ? Barry Jones excellent artwork shows this configuration, but all the photos I can find of WD280 in Australia show it painted silver with various black/white test markings. So was WD280 delivered in red ?
