Hurricane First Flight Video!

Just finished a short film on the first flight of the recently discussed Hangar 11 Hurricane. Many thanks to Peter Teichman for letting us film the day and also allowing us to record his reactions to the first flight.

Just finished a short film on the first flight of the recently discussed Hangar 11 Hurricane….]

What a wonderful job you have done with the video. I have watched it a few times and am enjoying it greatly. I especially like the frames towards the end of the video where the Hurricane is sitting in the morning/evening glow and how you have the Hurricane flying into the sun shine at the end. Most generous of you to share this with us.

It has been much fun to follow the restoration of RCAF 5403/”BE505, XP-L” on hangar-11’s website and now a video to top it off is the icing on the cake.

Looking forward to someone releasing a 500 page book with companion DVD detailing RCAF 5403’s history and restoration………. 😉

I have always felt that the Hurricane was too much in the shadow of the Spitfire. This just shows what a beautiful aircraft the Hurricane was.

What a fantastic sight! Well done to all those involved. The quality of the video of the first flight is truly amazing. It is almost surreal seeing her lift of so easily!

Fantastic! Not only the aircraft, but this by far the best first-flight-video I’ve ever seen. Thanks for sharing.
