Can any Forum member confirm that the illustrated label would have been fitted to a Lancaster escape hatch situated between the top turret and cockpit. I have been told by the person I obtained it from that the Lancaster at Duxford has this exact label attached. Can anyone confirm this for me? It measures 133mm x 32mm and seems to be made from some kind of clear material.

Has anyone seen instruction labels made in this manner from similar material in any other WW2 period aircraft?
