cheers for that, im at Frimley Park for the week and Sandhurst is over the road with Aldershot near by. Pity about the paras museum being moved.

Neil,
It’s only about 15 miles from Farnborough to Woodley (E of Reading). The Museum of Berkshire Aviation has some very rare Miles bits&pieces. Not only that, but the guys in there (admittedly about 5 yrs ago) were extremely helpful!! In answer to any question, if they didn’t know then they knew who did! Don’t know what the entrance fee is nowadays, but I knew I’d got value for money when I went there. Good coffee too!

The Dakota has either moved or is in the process of being moved, believe it’s going to Colchester.
There is the museum that belongs to the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust at Farnborough airfield, I don’t know their opening times I’m afraid.

Do the Paras have a museum just down the road at Aldershot?
I remember seeing a DC-3 on display a few years back.
The Airborne Forces Museum has moved from the Aldershot site, and has been relocated to Duxford where some of the exhibits are now on display in the Airspace hangar. I think the Dakota is still at the old site.
FAST Museum at Farnborough well worth a visit.
