few people have asked… these are the ‘peltor/milspec’ plugs.

the plugs are Nexus TJ120 series.
http://www.pambry.co.uk/fourconductor.htm

The Nexus plugs are American NATO and not the UK type, they are smaller than the UK NATO. UK NATO are still readily available from people like Adams Aviation, Light Aero Spares etc so you can make up your own lead to what ever length you need.
Have you tried MART Aviation at www.martaviation.com, thet have ready made extension leads in stock, or at least they still have them listed!!!
I have a couple but they are still in regular use im affraid:)

Sorry FB, just checked and I’ve let you down righteously, I only have the bell type after all 🙁

apologies, hope you have better luck elsewhere!

No worries – thanks for your time in having a look – much appreciated.

Help – flying helmet extension lead

Is this the one you’re looking for? or another ‘Bell’ type which may not suit? Overall length 5Ft . PM me if interested, had it made up in the good old days, but sadly no longer have access to the DH 82A I used to hang on the other end of it! Regards, Brian S.

22 inches is the length of the flex we’re using at the moment of course I might end up making one up. If anyone finds one that would be awesome.

if its any help you can still buy the plugs/sockets easy enough as we still use them in the rally cars on the headsets. (4 pole 1/4″ jack from memory?)

PM me if you want more info.

That would be fantastic thank you, I’ll pop over to the Tiger tomorrow and have a definitive measure up. At 6’5″ I’m probably the tallest chap likely to fly so I’ll see how much length I need.

Ummm

It’s a possibilty, not certain about the length bit though, I think mine might be the short type too – I will have a dig around my store tomorrow and see what I have. Will send you an image of my findings to cross reference first.

Have attached the picture of the male NATO plug need a female too and a cord length of at least 18 inches if possible. The short leads from the helmets I’m using just far to short to reach the plug in the fwd cockpit.

maybe!

Would that be the rather chunky Bakelite fellow with the large brassy male jack plug on one end and equally large socket on the other? I have a bag full of helmet leads and things so might be able to help.
