I was watching an odd movie last night. I shall not bother you with the plot, but towards the end three Russian Mil-24 were shown. These three aircraft were in fact heavily modified Puma’s, the question is does anybody know the origin of these helicopters. A quick ‘google’ found that the movie was made in 1984 and that the Russian T-72 tanks were considered to be very good.

No idea of the origin, but a similar set-up with Pumas playing Mil-24s was used in Rambo III (where my ex-ATC housemate was convinced they were the real deal! :rolleyes: )
I recall reading those Pumas were civil machines from South Africa.
