Looks like that wreck could use a really good nose glazing section, wonder if they have a spare one :diablo:

A few months ago FlyPast reported on this restoration and a lot of progress has already been made. This will be another gem in the collection.
Now, how about a Heyford or 0/400
Cheers

Well, it would be quite extraordinary for the press to spoil a good story with the truth!
The same newspaper – not too long ago – carried “quotes” from me. I never even spoke to them, or to anyone…reporter or otherwise!! But it must have been true ‘cos it was in the Torygraph!

The Telegraph report – just a little ‘economic with the actualitie’.
George Shephard was first re-united with his Hampden on 29 Feb 1992, within a few weeks of it arriving in the UK and being ‘assembled’ at Hatch, Bedfordshire.
A gathering and lunch was organised for him, the son and daughter of the pilot who survived, and the son of the Wop/AG who was killed in the crash. An historic and quite moving meeting.
