In conversation with a guy at work this week, we ended up talking about aircraft (somehow!) & it turned out his father was an observer on ‘Vixens & Phantom’s in the Fleet Air Arm.
Another colleagues’ father was a Jag pilot & station commander @ Scampton!
And finally a contractor who worked here 2 years ago – her father flew everything from Mustang’s (in Korea) to F-4’s in Vietnam for the USAF!

I am sailing…
I just watched the whole series a couple of weeks ago, very interesting and a real insight into the social fabric of the 1970’s and the RN – how things have changed in 30 years.
