The Andrew Schofield DVD about the SAAF Mk 3 Shackleton 1722 was launched at Newark in August 2007.
That featured an update about Pelican 16 and also interviews filmed inside WR977 at Newark. It used to be listed on their website but it’s no longer there http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/shop.htm
However I’m sure that I saw it in their shop the last time I visited.
The Shackleton 1722 DVD by Andrew Schofield is available at http://saairforce.co.za/shop/product_info.php?cPath=31&products_id=187

Have a look at the Long Marston example first before putting your desert boots on ! The SAAF example is ‘stored’ in far better conditions than some!

Newforest,
Brilliant! One of the finest examples of understatement I’ve seen in a long time!! Is this the Davis-Monthan of Africa? Those of us who have spent many, many, hours in a Shacking Great Fuc***ton would like a “Jim’ll Fix It” to get that airframe out of there and restored to, at least, ground-running – but (and I dream!!!) even flight-worthy. What’s the Google lat/lon?

A quick google brings a pprune thread, photo of a chart, with a lat/long of:
N22′ 38″
W013′ 14″
🙂

Yes, unfortunately so. Recovery services in the area are slow and infrequent!:D
