Airframe and Radio Equipment Identification

Hi everyone,

I have had a bit of radio kit knocking about for years since I bought it at an Amateur Radio Junk sale. I would like it to go to a good home, either as part of a working ARI or in a cockpit / fuselage refurbishment or reconstruction.

Its detail is: 10DB 8654 RF Unit type 27B. It is complete and has seen some use in its life, so not in “showroom” condition! It probably looks as it did when it was removed from the aircraft.

Which brings me to the aircraft ident. The unit has what looks like VV363 in yellow chinagraph on its front face. For my passing interest only, do any of you if this is a pukka RAF airframe number and if so, what was it?

Best regards,

Aerial

Here’s some additional help. This is a typical installation, taken from the Gee Mk. II manual.

AM – thanks for info, appreciated.

I have absolutely no idea on either the equipment or the airframe, hence the questions! I’ll have a scout round and see if I can use that info and expand it.

Anyone else got suggestions or knowledge? Anyone need it for their project?

Sounds like part of the Gee set from Anson T22 VV363?
