Aircraft clock

I was given this years ago and have no idea of its history. Sadly. it has never worked. It has the crown and AM on the back and the inscriptions “8 days” “L 4/37” and “Swiss Made” on the face. I imagine these clocks were interchangeable, so it it could have come off almost anything RAF. Any further information or opinions would be most welcome.

Thanks for that, Elliott, you confirm what I suspected!

David

That’s a standard air ministry aircraft clock, as you say they were used on many different types. I would suggest a date of 1937 from the information you provide, so an early one!

Sorry I can’t be of more help.

Regards
