Eric V Best career 1937 to 1983

My in-laws neighbour passed a book to me hearing of my interest in aircraft (RAF History, Roy Conners Nesbit). 3 sheets of A4 fell out,”aircraft types flown by Eric V Best” all typed in a list get a load of these:

Gipsy Moth, Tiget Moth, (Aukland aero club) Miles 331 (magister?) with 7 B squadron DEc 1940. Oxford RNZAF Wigram, Vildebeast, Wellington, Whitley, Avro Tutor, 33 Wellington Ops May to Oct 1940 (P9206, L7857, L2550 and more) Short Stirling, 23.5.41 Royal family flypast at RAF Wyton, onto Anson, Hornet Moth, manchester (AFEE RAF Ringway) Audax on Hotspur towing, Miles Master, Hudson, Dominie (will skip a few now) Tempest, Avenger, Dakota, Vampire, Meteor, Mitchell (flypast Queen Mary 19.6.43) Albermarle at Brize Norton, Blenheim, Stimson Reliant, Liberator. 134 Berlin airlift ops in Hastings, CO 59 Squadron RAF Bassingbourn, Avro Anson 27.1.55 with Chuck Yeager as a passenger. RAF Career to 1958, then it skips to Bell 212 with his son Richard who was Sultan Of Brunei’s pilot. Now there is a log book (I’ve listed less than half here I’m sure…) will pop the book back and see who this chap was, relative etc.
