As we get closer to the end of the resto of A94-983, I am once again in need of your help with regards to our ejection seats.
I had a successfull trip to Germany and was able to aquire a very good MB MkGW5 seat from the very nice people at the Luftwaffe Museum at Gatow in Berlin.
Unfortunately they have been unable to find any ‘Servicing’ or ‘Parts’ manuals for these seats.
Any help in sourcing these manuals would be appreciated.
Regards
Peter

I hope you are not going to paint the aircraft. If my ageing memory cells are correct, they were all plain aluminium.

Might seem a silly question – but have you tried contacting Martin Baker directly? They may be able to help with manuals?

WOW…. fantastic to see another aussie sabre being restored.
I was fortunate (?) enough to be in Adelaide a while back and got to see my first sabre up close and personal at the museam there.
Keep up the good work!
Also and its a long shot…. sometimes manuals show up on evil bay (eBay) from time to time.
Though people tend to bid like crazy when they do!

Try Here
Peter,
You might try posting your request over here.

They have a couple of guys over there who have recently been involved in getting a Canadair Sabre Mk.6 back in the air and a few other airworthy Sabre projects – though not like your CAC Avon Sabre which I am seriously hanging out for to fly again at Temora.
Because they are more on the getting them airworthy and flying side of things, often turn up some good leads.
