M.I.A ?

Hi folks;
I have a question about a P39q that crashed in the Yukon
while being ferried to the U.S.S.R .The pilot was LT.
Walter Kent.The crashsite was found by the R.C.A.F.
I’ve been told the site was reported,and since been
visited twice by Blake Smith an authour on west
coast wrecksites.Can any confirm LT Kent’s status,
missing,kia or found.Personal effects where found
in 1999 at site.Like to know if he ‘made’ it home.:confused:

LT Kent

Thanks DJ;
MR Smith who checked out the site he and a friend
left a bronze plaque .At least his grave is marked.
What year was that designation given? If USAF
could go to china unearth an F86 for litterlly a
handfull of remains [nova mig alley]maybe its
worth an extra look.Would his name be at Dayton
or D.C.?

Cobra’s over the Tundra by Everett Long says that Kent was declared “deceased-remains unrecoverable.”

So he didn’t make it home:(
